HUMANOID SKULL STUDIES

IMPERFECTION IS NOT A FLAW

Perfection is predictable.
Imperfection is real.

Every mark is left on purpose.
Every flaw is part of the work.

Nothing is cleaned.
Nothing is repeated.

This isn’t manufactured.
It’s made.

Flava Fashion is a street art clothing label created by Melbourne artist Chris Marie.
Each release emerges directly from the studio, translating stencil art and aerosol painting into limited wearable artifacts.
What begins on walls and canvas moves into fabric.

Each piece is part of a limited studio drop.

Inspired by music, basketball, hip-hop, and street culture, the work blends raw hand-drawn energy with modern production.

No mass production.
No seasonal collections.

Only drops.

Every piece is marked.
Every drop is numbered.

These are not garments.

They are artifacts you can wear.

The Studio Process

Each skull begins as a hand-cut stencil.

The stencil establishes the primary form before layers of aerosol spray and paint are applied. The edges of the stencil create the structural silhouette while surrounding gestures are introduced through brush strokes, drips and colour fields.

This approach allows the skull to remain recognisable while each study evolves through experimentation.

No two studies are identical.

Each iteration pushes the visual language further while refining the symbolic identity of the form.
